About Focus Brain Therapy
At Focus Brain Therapy, we believe one of the most important discoveries in modern neuroscience is also one of the most hopeful: the brain can adapt. This ability, known as neuroplasticity, allows the brain to strengthen connections, develop new pathways, and reorganize how it responds to injury, neurological change, aging, and cognitive demands. That science is at the heart of Focus Brain Therapy.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help people better understand, support, and strengthen brain function through clinically responsible care informed by the science of neuroplasticity. We want patients to move beyond simply asking what has changed in their brain. We want them to better understand how the brain adapts, what functions can be evaluated and trained, and how an individualized program may support their goals. That mission also extends beyond treatment. Education is an important part of what we do. Patients and families should understand the principles behind their care, referral partners should have a clear picture of our approach, and the broader community should have access to credible information about brain health and neuroplasticity.
A Center Dedicated to Brain Health
We are a South Florida brain therapy center in Davie, Florida, dedicated to helping people better understand how their brain functions and providing a structured path toward improved cognitive and neurological performance. Our approach brings neurological assessment together with targeted brain training, physical activity, sensory integration, cognitive challenges, balance work, and emotional regulation. Rather than viewing these systems independently, we consider how they interact and how the brain can be challenged in a coordinated, purposeful way. For our patients, that means care built around the individual rather than a standard protocol. For physicians and referral partners, it means access to a brain-focused clinical program designed to complement the broader continuum of neurological care.
Why Focus Brain Therapy Was Created
Focus Brain Therapy was founded by Dr. Lisa Huseboe, DC, MS, CBIS, whose work in neurorehabilitation led to the development of the Cognitive Circuit Training® Program. After years of working with people facing brain injury, cognitive changes, and neurological challenges, Dr. Huseboe saw a recurring need: patients often required a more integrated approach to retraining the many systems that influence how the brain performs in everyday life. Memory does not function in isolation. Neither do balance, visual processing, coordination, attention, reaction time, emotional regulation, or cognitive endurance. The brain is an interconnected system.
Looking at the Brain as an Integrated System
Traditional healthcare often divides symptoms into separate categories... At Focus Brain Therapy, we also examine the connections between them. The brain is continuously receiving information, processing it, deciding how to respond, and coordinating the body.
• Vision affects balance.
• Movement can influence cognition.
• Attention affects memory.
• Stress can influence concentration and processing.
• Sensory information can change how effectively a person functions in a complex environment.
Our integrated approach is designed around these relationships.
Cognitive Circuit Training®
Cognitive Circuit Training® is the proprietary program developed at the center of the Focus Brain Therapy approach. The program combines multiple forms of neurological stimulation and brain-based activity within structured sessions. This may include cognitive tasks, balance and coordination exercises, visual processing drills, and sensory integration activities. No two brains are exactly alike. That is why Cognitive Circuit Training® is customized rather than delivered as a one-size-fits-all exercise program.
Who We Serve
People come to Focus Brain Therapy for many different reasons. Some are recovering from concussion, traumatic brain injury, stroke, or another neurological event. Others are noticing changes in memory, processing speed, balance, concentration, or cognitive endurance, and they want a clearer picture of what is happening and what can be done about it.
We also work with people who are not recovering from a specific event. Some want to remain proactive as they age and protect their cognitive health over time. Others are students, professionals, or athletes interested in better understanding how their brain performs under demand and how that performance can be supported.
While these circumstances can be very different, they share an important starting point: a desire to understand what may be possible when the brain is evaluated, challenged, and supported intentionally. Our role is to meet each person where they are and build a clinically responsible approach around their individual needs, goals, and measured progress.
A Team Built Around Brain Health
Focus Brain Therapy brings together professionals with complementary expertise in neurological care, Cognitive Circuit Training®, rehabilitation support, and patient education. This collaborative structure helps create a more complete understanding of each person’s cognitive, functional, and brain-health needs.
Our team includes neurologists, CCT specialists, and clinical facilitators who work within an integrated care model focused on individualized assessment, structured brain-based training, and ongoing progress evaluation. Their work is further informed by advisors with experience in neurorehabilitation, clinical research, neuroplasticity, and healthcare education.
By combining clinical perspective, practical rehabilitation experience, objective testing, and evidence-informed approaches, Focus Brain Therapy is able to support patients with a coordinated program designed around how they think, function, adapt, and progress over time.
Building the Future of Brain Rehabilitation
We are dedicated to advancing the field of brain rehabilitation through individualized, measurable care grounded in research. While every brain is unique and outcomes cannot be guaranteed, our model is built on the belief that an integrated, multidisciplinary approach offers the best path forward for neurological health.
